About the SGS GS mark

The SGS GS mark (Geprüfte Sicherheit = tested safety) granted by SGS is a well-known and respected voluntary impartial certification mark indicating the GS safety standard and quality of a product. The SGS GS mark verifies to the consumer that the product is tested and certified according to the German Act GPSG (Geräte- und Produktisicherheitgesetz = Equipment and Product Safety Act). The SGS GS mark can only be used on products that have a valid GS certificate granted by SGS. Information about safe electrical equipment may be obtained from SGS’s register of certified products.

The GS Mark, a widely recognised certification mark traditionally associated with the German marketplace, has now attained recognition Europe-wide and beyond.
